PASQUIER (Estienne). *Les Recherches de la France*… expanded in this latest edition by three complete books, in addition to several chapters interspersed throughout each of the other books, drawn from the author’s library. Paris, Pierre Ménard, 1643. Folio, modern brown half-calf. Title page with a large vignette, 6 flyleaves, 1019 pp., 37 flyleaves.  A reprint of a 1633 edition published by the same publisher. This is an intermediate edition between the last one published during Pasquier’s lifetime in 1611 and the definitive version of 1665.  Simon Larochère’s stamp on the title page. Early binding with a re-bound spine. Tchemerzine X, 84 cites only the 1633 edition.
