Folio size, blue morocco leather with a frame of four raised bands; at the corners of the covers, compositions of gilded foliage with mosaic-style red and violet flowers; spine with raised bands and gilt panels adorned with gilt motifs and red flowers at the corners, lined with red morocco leather framed by a brown band featuring cornflowers in blue and gold morocco, matching blue silk endpapers, gilt fillets and guilloché patterns on the edges, gilt edges, original illustrated cover preserved, slipcase edged with blue morocco (Constant Dubosq [gilder]). A prestigious volume in the tradition of commemorative books, whose list of subscribers consists largely of companies (champagne, oil, etc.), local authorities (towns, chambers of commerce, etc.), French and British government departments (ministries, the Élysée, etc.), various societies and clubs, and individuals of both nationalities holding senior positions within these bodies.
