TASSO (Torquato TASSO, known as). *Jerusalem Delivered*. A poem, translated from the Italian. A new, revised and corrected edition, supplemented with a biography of Tasso. Illustrated with his portrait and twenty fine engravings.  Paris, Bossange, Masson and Besson, 1803. 2 volumes in-8, speckled fawn calfskin, framed with gilt fillets and garlands, smooth spine decorated with 3 bands and 2 title labels and volume numbers in red morocco, compartments decorated with garlands and geometric interlaced motifs, a radiating medallion, a scattering of stars, and gilt fillets on the fore-edges and headbands, yellow edges (contemporary binding). Portrait of the author by Chasselat and 20 fine illustrations after Le Barbier the Elder. A very fine, fresh copy, set in a beautiful binding. It bears the wood-engraved ex-libris ‘Prochain’ (20th century).  Cohen 978.
