Flemish School, late 17th–early 18th century; circle of Pierre Paul Rubens Ansegisel and Saint Begge Panel 79 x 61.5 cm (Restored) Provenance: Private collection, Paris Related work: The painting by Rubens held at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Begge of Andenne (died 693) and Ansegisel (c. 613–622) were the parents of Pepin II of Herstal, known as Pepin the Younger, Duke and Mayor of the Palace of Austrasia, founder of the Carolingian dynasty.
