Comprising: - 7 large cutlery sets plus 5 forks, - 6 dessert cutlery sets plus 6 forks, - 12 teaspoons, - 12 large knives, with steel blades and silver-clad handles, - 12 dessert knives, with steel blades and silver-clad handles, - 6 serving pieces, including a salad server, - 5 serving pieces, including a cheese knife, a butter knife and three ice scoops, with steel tips and silver-plated handles, Danish work by Jensen, circa 1960, (800°/°°) with its original purchase receipt and documentation. Weight of silver pieces: 2407g Weight of silver-clad pieces: 2104g Georg Jensen’s ‘Acorn’ design is an iconic motif in Danish silversmithing, recognisable by its naturalistic motif of an oak acorn and stylised foliage. Inspired by Art Nouveau, it is characterised by soft, organic lines typical of early 20th-century Scandinavian designs.
