A set of three boxes attributed to the Foullon workshop or to César Bagard, 17th–18th century made of fruitwood or St Lucia wood, rectangular in shape, decorated on all sides with foliage and garlands, the lids adorned with a pelican feeding its young; two bear the mottos ‘je meur damour pour vous’ and ‘Je meur pour vous’; one rests on block legs. H: 6.5 – W: 21 – D: 15.5 cm H: 7.5 – W: 20.5 – D: 15 cm H: 7 – W: 19 – D: 14 cm Signs of wear, damage, restorations; hinges added at a later date to two of the boxes, whose lids were originally simply placed on top
