Louis XV-period chest of drawers with a raised top, marked ‘H Hansen’ Louis XV-period chest of drawers with a raised top, marked ‘H HANSEN’ The front and sides feature an undulating design, decorated with satinwood and amaranth veneer in a herringbone pattern within framed panels. It opens with two drawers without visible cross-bars and stands on curved legs. Gilded bronze fittings, finials accentuating the tapered legs, fixed handles, lock plates and footplates. Fitted top of Aleppo breccia marble. H: 87 – W: 81 – D: 48 cm Signs of wear, restored Hubert HANSEN was granted his master’s certificate in April 1747.
