BREGUET No. 3231
750-thousandths gold pocket watch, white enamelled dial with painted Roman numerals, railway-track minute scale, small seconds hand at 6 o’clock. Case back monogrammed on a radiating guilloché background. Inner case in 750th gold. Mechanical movement, winding by pendant, lever escapement, Breguet balance spring, compensated bimetallic balance.
Dial engraved ‘Breguet 3231’, inner case signed ‘Breguet No. 3231’, case number No. 10477. Case back engraved with the inscription: ‘He who has found a faithful friend has found a treasure. Ecclesiastes. August 1849 – January 1880.’
