Yvonne de SONNEVILLE (1888–1982) A grey trimmings necklace comprising lobed mother-of-pearl plaques, gilded and painted with scenes of women’s daily life, alternating with scroll motifs. Silver-plated metal slide clasp. Length: 40 cm. Plate widths: 1.5 to 3.2 cm. Originally from Bordeaux, Yvonne de SONNEVILLE was the wife of the artist and poster designer Georges de Sonneville. She was a multi-talented artist who worked across a variety of media (as a painter, interior and theatre set designer, book illustrator and jewellery designer).
