Description
French piece from the second half of the 19th century Distressed 750‰ yellow gold pocket watch, round case (33mm), smooth lugs, white enamelled dial, Roman numerals for the hours, Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals and a railway-track minute scale, hand-wound mechanical movement, 750‰ yellow gold mainplate, the case back chiselled with foliage and a swallow in flight. Horse’s Head hallmark, Départements, 1838–1919 (Besançon variant). Gross weight: 27.5 g. (No guarantee of functionality; servicing required; detached case back; dents). Also included is a gold-plated savonnette watch, round case (52 mm), white enamelled dial, Arabic numerals for the hours, railway-track minute track, hand-wound mechanical movement, gold-plated case.
