Description
FROMENT-MEURICE – Pendant in 750°/°° yellow gold, silver, enamel, roses and pearls, featuring the coat of arms of the City of Paris. Signed on the reverse. Gross weight: 18.4 g. Some damage. Enclosed is a letter from Froment-Meurice dated 2 April 1915 stating that “this piece of jewellery was commissioned from the firm by the Prefect of the Seine, who presented it to the wives of the city councillors from 1856 to 1870. Empress Eugénie had received one such piece from Baron Haussmann”.
