Islamic art A grey nephrite jade rahle or Qur'an holder in a poly-lobed form, richly decorated with poly-lobed cartouches enhanced with Nashk-style gilded calligraphy. The main decoration opens with a reading from the Qur'an "Bismillah al Rahman al Rahim". At the feet, circular medallions bear formulas of blessing in the name of Allah. The inscription reads: "O Allah grant blessing, guidance and success to the bearer of this sacred book, make him a man of righteousness, knowledge and faith"; "May peace and blessing accompany him who follows the right path, life is but a passage where each reaps what he sows, happy is he whose deeds are pure and whose heart is enlightened".
