Description
Chased and gilt bronze clock. Dial signed Chantrot in Paris, surmounted by Cupid holding a crown of flowers above a kneeling young woman draped in antique style. On the other side, a pair of doves snogging near an inverted amphora, surmounted by a ribboned frieze inscribed "Je suis ton maître" ("I am your master"). The base is decorated with ribbon bows, arrows and garlands of flowers and rests on four water-leaf and gadroon feet.
