A pair of ewers in bronze with a double brown and gold patina. Griffin-headed handles with foliate scrolls attached by masks. The necks are underlined by a frieze of palmettes. Bodies with twisted friezes and serpentine motifs. The bases surmounted by a frieze of water leaves with a guilloché doucine. Square griotte red marble bases.
Early 19th century.
Attributed to the bronze-maker André-Antoine Ravrio (1759-1814).
