Robert Thibier (1926–2001), interior designer and furniture manufacturer. Special commission, circa 1980. A substantial sofa comprising 6 modules. - 2 corner armchairs with a chipboard frame, padded with foam, upholstered in white imitation leather, resting on a wooden plinth veneered with a sheet of steel. 62 x 90 x 90 cm. - 2 corner armchairs with chipboard frames, padded with foam, upholstered in blue imitation leather, resting on a wooden plinth veneered with a sheet of steel. 62 x 90 x 90 cm. (Some snags and seams need mending. Base slightly coming away) - 2 centre armchairs with chipboard frames, padded with foam, upholstered in white faux leather, resting on a wooden plinth veneered with a sheet of steel. 62 x 58 x 90 cm. (One has several snags and tears.) Included are 7 faux leather cushions (2 white and 5 blue). Set designed and produced for the interior of a Parisian flat in the 14th arrondissement in 1981, a former artist’s studio converted into a duplex.
