Robert Thibier (1926–2001), interior designer and furniture maker.
Special commission, circa 1980.
A pair of end tables with a wooden frame veneered with stainless steel sheets and gilded metal mouldings. The set is mounted on (concealed) castors. The top is supported by four gilded metal rods and topped with a glass panel revealing a chequerboard pattern of gold- and chrome-finished stainless steel sheets.
43 x 41.5 x 41.5 cm.
(One glass top has a slight chip in one corner.)
