Small armchair in moulded, carved beech, lacquered grey, with a moulded, curved seat and backrest, rosette-adorned connecting blocks, supported by tapered, fluted legs. Stamped ‘J.B. BOULARD’, for Jean-Baptiste Boulard, who was granted master’s status in 1755 and was a supplier to the Crown. Louis XVI period Upholstered in raspberry-coloured velvet. Dimensions: 86 x 43 x 47 cm. Examples of similar chairs can be found in Laurent Condamy’s book *Jean-Baptiste Boulard, Menuisier du Roi* (Faton, pp. 128–129). This lot is presented by Mr François LACHAUD.
