* LEPINE à Paris (Jean-Antoine LEPINE, 1720-1814) Pocket watch with cock Late 18th century
Dial: White enamel with Arabic numerals, blued steel Breguet-style hands. Slight enamel chip on the square winding mechanism.
Movement: Hand-wound verge escapement. Plate signed "Lépine Paris" and numbered 4917. Production corresponding to the work of the master Jean-Antoine Lépine during the period 1790-1792 (Bibliographical reference: Adolphe Chapiro).
Case: Gilt brass, with possible pewter inlay on the back.
Condition: Winding key missing. As is, with no guarantee of functioning.
