Description
PATEK PHILIPPE NAUTILUS REF. 3700 Steel wristwatch, black/blue ‘sigma’ dial with horizontal crenellated striations, 18K white gold (750 thousandths) applied hour markers with tritium luminescent material, doubled at 12 o’clock, silvered ‘bathtub’ hands with tritium, date window at 3 o’clock. Monobloc case, case back inscribed ‘Patek Philippe Genève Swiss’, reference 3700 and numbered 536127, manufactured by Calame & Cie SA (hammerhead hallmark 357). Mechanical self-winding movement signed Patek Philippe, Geneva Seal, reference 28-255C, numbered 1304765. Steel bracelet, polished central links; on the clasp blade, signed Patek Philippe Genève, marked ‘Breveté ’, ‘Steelinox’ and ‘Swiss Made’; second safety clasp decorated with the Calatrava cross. Movement was functioning at the time of appraisal, but no guarantee is given as to its long-term reliability; the condition of the components is not guaranteed. Significant scratches on the case and bracelet; the bracelet is slightly stretched; there is a significant amount of dirt; scratches on the hour markers, hands and dial. The watch is accompanied by its original Patek Philippe certificate bearing the correct movement number, dated 5 August 1979, code PRON. Two service invoices accompany the watch: one from Patek Philippe in 1982 for a standard service, and one from Roman Mayer in Montreux for a service in 2021, noting the replacement of the case and the crown, a refresh of the hands and the replacement of the barrel bridge. Swiss-made, circa 1980 Dimensions 42 x 44 mm, suitable for a wrist circumference of approximately 17.5 cm
