Beautiful Louis XIV two-hand onion, signed BIZOT in Paris (watchmaker to the Duchess of Orléans), circa 1700.
Enamel embossed dial with Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes. Very fine verge movement with quarter repetition, Egyptian pillars.
Attractive gilt, chased and openworked metal cock, striking on gong. Chased and openworked silver case.
