Swiss silver gilt savonnette pocket watch circa 1850, signed Le Roy in Paris.
Attractive engraved and chased case with green, blue and white champlevé enamel surround. The enamelled bowls, on the front, depict a miniature scene of two women in a romantic landscape, on the back a woman holding a tambourine, dressed in traditional costume. Gilt guilloché dial with landscape decoration, Roman numerals, pear-shaped hands, small second hand at 6 o'clock.
Mechanical movement, cylinder escapement, key winding.
Diameter: 44 mm - Gross weight: 56.03 g (gilt silver).
