History :
First time presented for sale, this watch appears in the BREGUET records under this designation: "3002 : Montre à répétition, 15-lignes, boîte or n° 3510 par Tavernier. Sold on 5 November 1817 to Madame Soehnée for the sum of 2,000 Francs". This was the "historic period" of Abraham-Louis Breguet and his son, when each piece was unique. Our example is typical of the post-revolutionary production of the House of Breguet, a period of apogee when Abraham-Louis Breguet was one of the best watchmakers of his time and undoubtedly one of the most influential. Madame Soehnée lived at 2 rue Neuve de Berry.
