A silver mug, resting on a pedestal, the plain body engraved with a crest, the scrolled handle. Master silversmith: probably John Penfold London, 1723 (Traces of engraving under the base, wear, scratches, minor knocks, repolishing). Height 10.5 cm; Gross weight: 344 g. The coat of arms could be that of the Dixon family. We would like to thank the genealogist who made this identification. Provenance : - Biggs of Maidenhead (?). Expert : SC Emeric & Stephen PORTIER
