Travel set, comprising an agate and silver knife and fork, with a steel blade, in a stingray skin* case (restorations, damage, a later nut, rust) Unidentified cutler’s mark, Probably 17th-century Germany, Gross weight: 73 g *Specimen made from the dermis of a stingray (galuchat) of the Dasyatidae family, of the species known as the ‘pointed-nose stingray’* or, synonymously, the ‘white-spotted whipray’ (Maculabatis gerrardi) *Species not regulated under the Washington Convention (CITES) or under EC Regulation 338/97 of 9 December 1996 and the French Environmental Code.
