A large silver tureen of the first standard (950°/°°) resting on a moulded foot; the plain body is adorned with handles decorated with water leaves. The plain, fluted lid is surmounted by a handle in a burst seed motif resting on a band of alternating water leaves and acanthus leaves. The side panels are engraved with a coat of arms beneath a marquis’s crown.
