Description
A first-grade silver (950°/°°) jug resting on three feet ending in lion’s paws and connected to the body by broad acanthus leaves. The plain ovoid body is accented by a frieze of water leaves along its upper section. The spout is chiselled with a large eagle’s head, ending in acanthus leaves. The lid, with a fluted rim, is edged with a frieze of water leaves and ends in a twisted knob. Console handle. (Minor imperfections)
