A set of silver cutlery, engraved and monogrammed ‘LF’, comprising 13 large spoons, 13 large forks, 11 dessert spoons and forks, 12 cake forks, 12 fish knives and 12 fish forks, 8 coffee spoons, 2 salt spoons, 12 coffee spoons and 12 ice cream spoons, 12 fruit knives, 12 small stainless steel knives and 12 large stainless steel knives (and various other matching pieces, including 2 sauce ladles, 1 soup ladle, 2 large fish knives, a salt shaker, salad servers, a sugar tong, two toothpick holders, etc.).

Provenance: commissioned for Mrs Lilly Sigall, bearing the initials ‘LF’, and inherited by her niece, Clare Wadsworth (née Elias).
Lilly Sigall, née Fenyvesi (1914–2011), was a renowned hostess of Hungarian origin in London from the 1930s onwards.
She supported Hungarian artists and was awarded the Pro Cultura Hungarica prize as well as a medal from Lithuania.
