Description
Jules CAYETTE (1882-1953) and DAUM Nancy - Lorraine. A pair of sconces in cast and chased bronze with butterfly decoration, each holding a tulip in pink marmorated glass, signed. H. base of sconces: 26.7 cm; H. tulip: 14.5 cm.
These sconces, a rare model, are complete with their original claws, in Jules Cayette's own design. The general shape of the sconce and the edginess of the line, reminiscent of the famous Péquart miroir aux lézards, date the model to the 1910s.
