ZODIAC 18K 750 yellow gold chronograph. Circa 1950–1960 Men’s 18K 750 yellow gold chronograph wristwatch. - Round 18K yellow gold case. Clips-on caseback bearing the number 4769, a gold hallmark (eagle’s head) and engraved with a later dedication in the centre: ‘1962–1992’. Rectangular chronograph pushers. - Patinated silver-coloured dial, signed Zodiac. Applied gilded Arabic numerals (12, 6) and applied dagger-shaped hour markers. Two recessed sub-dials (small seconds at 9 o’clock, 45-minute counter at 3 o’clock). Tachymeter and telemeter scales around the rim. Gold dauphine-style hands. - Manual-winding mechanical movement, 17 jewels. - Without a strap (sold as is). Diameter: approx. 35 mm Weight: 33 g Condition: Shows light signs of wear and scratches. Commemorative engraving on the reverse. Plexiglass crystal showing scratches and a marked crack on the lower edge between 6 o’clock and 8 o’clock. Original dial showing a marked patina of age and small surface oxidation spots. Watch has not been opened. Movement and chronograph functions were operational during a visual inspection (a routine service is recommended; accuracy and power reserve are not guaranteed). No box or papers.
