Description
A 750°°° yellow gold brooch (eagle’s head) with a round, scalloped outline, entirely covered in polychrome enamel, depicting an elegant lady in the Renaissance style, accented in places with rose-cut diamonds, featuring a safety pin and a security chain. Circa 1890–1900. French goldsmith’s master’s mark ‘HM vase’, probably for Henri MENDEL (engraved 1883 – struck off 1908 in Paris). Diameter: 2.9 cm Gross weight: 7.2 g Shows slight signs of wear, notably with some missing enamel.
