18th- or 19th-century work A set of two framed works on paper depicting ruins. The lot comprises, on the one hand, a gouache depicting a landscape with ancient ruins, brought to life by elegant figures, presented in a gilded stucco frame in the Rocaille style (20 x 15 cm visible area). The second is a brown ink wash depicting two figures resting in front of a ruined castle tower, set in a smooth wood-veneer frame (17 x 21 cm visible area). Condition: damage and loss to the stucco on the first frame; signs of wear on the second.
