Description
30 volumes of Buffon’s *Histoire Naturelle* and 1 volume of the table of contents, by Georges Louis Leclerc (Count of), printed in Paris by the Royal Printing Office (Volume III dated 1750, third edition). The volumes feature period full calf bindings, ribbed spines decorated with gilt motifs and red edges. The text is illustrated with engraved anatomical plates printed separately. The overall condition is modest. The bindings show numerous signs of wear, including worn cap bands, split jaws, scuff marks and missing sections on the title and volume number labels. Sold as is.
