Léon BOUDOT (Besançon, 1851-1930) Study for The Golden Season, circa 1894 Oil on canvas signed lower right, titled on the back of the stretcher "Etude pour mon tableau La Saison Dorée [XXX] Musée National du Luxembourg". 44 x 33.5 cm Léon Boudot's La Saison dorée, a monumental work measuring 241 x 152 cm, was exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in 1894 (no. 242). Acquired by the French State for the Musée du Luxembourg, it is now in the Musée d'Orsay.
