On one side, in the centre, the motif of the Holy Spirit, referring to the baptism of Christ; on the reverse, a flower. The branches are topped with a ball. Eagle’s head hallmark. Height including bail: 43 mm. Width: 30 mm. Weight: 2.9 g The name ‘Jeannette’ is said to derive from the young maidservants who hired themselves out on St John’s Day and bought this piece of jewellery with their first wages, wearing it on a velvet ribbon.
