Category C: For the purchase of Category C firearms, a valid identity document is required. Also required is a hunting licence valid for the current year and an active SIA hunter account, or a valid shooting licence and an active SIA account (opened on or after 27/02/24) Or a valid licence from a sports federation which, pursuant to Article L. 131-14 of the Sports Code, has been authorised by the Minister responsible for sport to organise shooting or clay pigeon shooting, together with an activated SIA account and proof of address.
