TOULOUSE. Cream jug on a faience stand with a scalloped rim, polychrome, decorated with flowering stems, twigs and bands around the edges. 18th century. Height: 9.5 cm, Diameter: 13.5 cm (chips, cracks and wear to the rim). Accompanied by a square Toulouse earthenware stand, polychrome, decorated with a Chinese man seated on a rock, a terrace and flowering stems. Network decoration on the rim, late 18th–early 19th century. Sides 22x22 cm (repair with metal staple). Formerly in the collection of Dr Marcel Latier.
