Fragment of a bas-relief depicting the head of Medusa. Her hair consists of broad, wavy locks. Her pupils are incised. She is adorned with a ribbon tied beneath her chin.
Marble. Wear to the nose and lips. Patinated stopper in the upper section.
Roman period, 2nd–3rd centuries.
Provenance: from a family collection, acquired in a château in the Périgord in the 1960s.
