Description
Émile DUBOIS (1884–1957), metalworker, and André DELATTE (1887–1953), glassmaker, Nancy – Lorraine. “Finch Lamp”. Art Deco lamp, with a wrought-iron base accented with brass, and an acid-etched glass shade with gilded accents, decorated with a frieze of stylised plants and birds. Late 1920s. Height: 52 cm. Dubois learnt his trade at Majorelle’s workshops, where he worked for several years before setting up his own business in the mid-1920s. He was André Delatte’s regular metalworker.
