Léon JALLOT (1874–1967) for Maison Au Confortable, manufacturer. Set of six oak chairs with openwork foliage backrests. Studded leather seats. Circa 1905–1910. 43 x 41.5 x height 91 cm. The openwork decorations are intact, which is extremely rare among surviving examples. Bibliography: *Art et Décoration*, July–December 1905 (vol. XVIII), p. 124. Related works: two chairs of the same model are held at the Musée d’Orsay (inv. OAO 1800 1 and OAO 1800 2).
