Description
Sacred art. Wrought-iron communion wafer mould, engraved on one side with two large round communion wafers featuring a motif of Christ on the cross, surrounded by a frieze of flowers alternating with cherubs’ heads. One side is smooth. 19th century. Length: 85.5 cm. Provenance: former collection of Dr Xavier Martin (1946–2005), part of which was donated to the Musée Lorrain in Nancy (exhibited in 2009–2010).
