Jean COCTEAU (1889–1963), after. *Le Caducée*, 1963. Machine-woven wool tapestry. Signed and dated ‘1963’ in the bottom right-hand corner. Monogram of the weaver, Moulin de Vauboyen, in Bièvres, woven into the weft. Hanging system on the backing (sewn-in ribbons). Limited edition of 100; our example is numbered in pen as 13/100 on the reverse side of the lining. 115 x 88.5 cm. Good condition; a snag in the top right-hand corner and slight stains on the lining.
