CATALONIA. A jug known as a ‘cantir’, which can also be used as a feeding bottle; the spherical body stands on a foot and is made of glass decorated with twisted patterns and filigree. The handle is topped by a rooster made of drawn and pinched glass. 18th century. Height: 30 cm. The rooster’s tail is missing. The Louvre Museum holds two cantirs in its collections (inv. OA 1018 and OA 12856).
