Van Cleef & Arpels, Pierre Arpels collection – The chronograph. A rare sports chronograph watch in 750°/°° (18K) white gold with an automatic movement, round case, smooth bezel, pump-style pushers, fluted crown, screw-down caseback, cream-coloured dial, applied baton hour markers, tachymeter scale on the flange, straight hands, perpetual seconds at 12 o’clock, elapsed minutes counter at 9 o’clock and elapsed hours counter at 6 o’clock, date window under a magnifying glass at 3 o’clock. The strap is made of black leather (heavily worn) with a steel pin buckle. Case, dial and movement are signed. Case numbered 180245. Diameter: 36 mm – strap length: 17–20 cm – gross weight: 76 g. With its case (very worn) and box. Condition report: good cosmetic condition, signs of wear and tear, patina on the strap; the watch was in working order at the time of appraisal, but a service is recommended.
