Basque makhila/makila walking stick; medlar wood shaft; braided leather handle ending in a horn pommel and revealing a spike; engraved brass ring and ferrule, bearing the inscription “Etsaien beldurra naiz” (“I am the terror of my enemies”). A similar model was presented to Winston Churchill during his stay on the Basque coast in July 1945. Length: 89 cm.
