A fireplace set in gilded and silver-plated bronze, comprising a pair of candelabra, each adorned with an antique-style figure, lion’s muzzles and medallions depicting mythological scenes (height 28 cm), and a clock decorated with a bird watching for an insect, plant motifs, a goat’s head and a battle scene (height 27.5 cm); white enamelled dial with railway-track minute track and Roman numeral hour markers; mechanical movement by Japy Frères (untested). With three globes. Circa 1850. (one figure needs reattaching; minor imperfections on the dial)
