A rectangular box in rosewood veneer, serving as a travelling writing case (without its internal compartments), decorated with mother-of-pearl inlay (height 13.5 cm; length 37.5 cm; width 24 cm, when folded). Included is a blackened wooden glove box with brass marquetry decoration, monogrammed on the lid (height 7.5 cm ; length 26.5 cm; width 10 cm). Late 19th century.
