Description
Emile GALLE (Lorraine), Saint-Clément period. Cordelière service. Suite of 7 dessert plates, in polychrome enamelled earthenware, decorated with a coat of arms bearing the initials CE under a helmet. There are 3 plates of the same service decorated with the initials EC. Circa 1864-1876. Stamped signatures "St Clément" and "Gallé à Nancy" in blue. Diam. 22 cm. A few chips around the edges of some plates. Attached is a dish from the same service, but bearing the initial T with the motto "Meiner Dordel". 23 x 14.5 cm, no damage noted.
