[Lorraine] Adolphe DEMANGE (1857-c. 1928). Portrait of Pierre-Eusèbe PERRIN, seated in front of a glass roof. Oil on canvas signed lower left and dated 1892. 92 x 73 cm.
In 1865, two masons founded the company Perrin et Bichaton to build the Lang spinning mill in Bonsecours. They were Pierre-Eusèbe Perrin, from Lorraine, and Jules-Gilbert Bichaton, from Creuse. In 1886, Jean-Baptiste France-Lanord took over from Perrin, officially giving birth to Nancy's famous public buildings company "FLB", which still exists today.
