Description
JARVIL, for André DELATTE (1883-1953), Nancy - Lorraine. Imposing Art Deco fruit bowl in purplish glass. Signed "JARVIL Nancy" on the side. H. = 9.7 cm; D. = 34 cm; D.: about 5 kg. Minor chips on the heel. In 1921, André Delatte opened his own art glass factory "Les Verreries de l'Est SA" in Jarville, near Nancy. It closed only 17 years later, in 1938, as a result of the great economic crisis that hit Europe.
