Description
[historical souvenirs]. Interesting little Bonapartist album containing 18 photographic prints, mostly for propaganda purposes, of Emperor Napoleon III, Empress Eugenie and the Imperial Prince (including the famous portrait taken by Alexander Bassano in London). The emperor is sometimes dressed in civilian clothes, sometimes in a general's uniform. The Empress sometimes appears crowned with a diadem.
Attached are 2 photographs of the imperial family (by Disderi and Levitsky-Kejeune) and a death card in memory of the imperial prince killed by the Zulus in 1879 (stain).
